More about the Yurt

Yurts originate from Mongolia and are traditionally lived in by nomadic tribes. The Yurt frame is 16ft and is made from hand-crafted chestnut poles which have been steam bent to create a curved roof. Each pole fits into the crown that is the center of the yurt. The walls are made from trellis which makes the frame. The frame is covered with a strong canvas and there is a clear circular portal in the middle of the roof. There are two windows either side of the door and the yurt sits on a wooden decking floor.

More about the Bell Tents

Bell tents were originally used by the army. A bell tent design is based on a tipi and is simple structure. The tent is supported by a single central pole. The cover is strong white cotton canvas. The canvas is held in place by guy ropes. The tent is light and airy with plenty of head room.
