Yurt Holiday Wales offers you the chance to stay in our beautiful custom made yurt - or one of our bell tents - in a secluded and spectacular part of the Dyfi Valley, Mid Wales.

We pride ourselves on providing an exclusive camping experience. The site is located on land adjacent to a traditional Welsh long farmhouse dating from the 1600’s. Cefn Coch Gwyllt is the name of the house and the land that surrounds it. Loosely translated it means ‘red back wild’ which could be a reference the Owain Glyndŵr battles or the stunning red bracken that lines the hills.

Yurt Holiday Wales is surrounded by two working organic sheep farms. It is located in the Cambrian Mountain range, ‘The Backbone of Wales’ at 700ft above sea level. There are stunning views across and up the Dyfi Valley of southern Snowdonia, dominated by the mountains Cader Idris and Aran Fawddwy. The nearest village is Glantwymyn or Cemmaes Road which is approximately 7 miles from the Powys market town of Machynlleth.

Crystal clear spring water supplies the site even through the driest of summers. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind, whether for a weekend break or a short stay.

Bird life is prolific with buzzards and red kites regularly flying above.

The site is owned by Sarah Morton and Alex Holland who wish to share the stunning beauty of where they live. They also want to make you aware that the resident cats, dogs and chickens who will be very interested to see who has arrived and will give you a big welcome!
